The kit is priced at £30 plus £7.50 towards the cost of postage and packing.

The kit uses algae immobilised in sodium alginate/calcium chloride mixtures and is based upon work undertaken by Debbie Eldridge from King Ecgbert School (Sheffield) while working on a SAPS/Robinson College Schoolteacher Fellowship. The kit can be used at a variety of levels in the secondary curriculum and is well-suited to investigative and project work. (For example see Photosynthesis... using algae wrapped in jelly balls).
